How it works: your number, forwarded to a line we run.

Nothing about your phone number changes. The calls you miss forward to a separate line we set up and run for you, and the AI assistant on that line takes it from there.

The path a missed call takes.

From the moment it rings to the moment you hear about it.

  1. A customer calls your usual business number.

The same number on your van, your website and your Google listing. If you or your team pick up, nothing else happens.

  2. If nobody answers, or the line is busy, your phone forwards the call.

This is conditional forwarding, a standard setting on most business phone plans. After hours, when nobody is picking up, it forwards those calls too.

  3. It reaches a dedicated line we run for you.

A separate number set up for your business only, on our voice platform. Your customers never see it.

  4. The AI assistant answers with your approved greeting.

It says in its first sentence that it is an AI assistant and that the call is recorded, then asks what is going on. It works from the business details, hours, services and rules you gave us.

  5. It books the visit, takes a request, or escalates.

With a connected calendar it books a time you are actually free, and can move or cancel that appointment if the customer rings back. A booking needs the caller’s email for the invitation; without it, or without a calendar, it takes the request and the time that suits them. Someone who wants a person leaves a follow-up request. An emergency goes to the contacts you approved, in your order.

  6. You are told.

Job requests, follow-up requests and unanswered emergencies are emailed to you when the call ends. Every call shows up in the monthly report we send you.

  7. You can switch it off in seconds.

Turn the forwarding off on your phone and calls ring through to you exactly as before. You never need us to stop it.

Setup, testing and go-live.

You don’t configure an AI yourself. We do the work with you, in this order.

  1. A short intake.

Your hours, services, service area, how you want emergencies handled and who should be rung, and whether you keep a calendar.

  2. We write the greeting, and you approve it.

Nothing goes live until you have approved the exact greeting in writing. It always discloses the AI and the recording in its first sentence.

  3. A setup call on a screen share.

We connect your calendar if you use one, plan your forwarding, and write down the steps to turn forwarding off. You do the typing in your own accounts.

  4. We test it, then you test it.

We run test calls on the line first. Then you make your own test calls, including the forwarding-off steps on your real phone. Any emergency transfer is tested with your real contacts.

  5. You approve go-live and turn forwarding on.

Billing starts that day, not before (for a Founding Pilot business, the free trial starts that day instead). After that we watch how it handles your calls, fix what it gets wrong and make the changes you ask for.

Founding Pilot: a few approved early businesses get a free trial from go-live, 14 days or 100 answered-call minutes, whichever comes first. See pricing.

Questions about the setup.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. Your business number stays exactly as it is. You set your phone to forward the calls you don’t pick up to the line we run for you, and your customers keep calling the number they already have.

Does it answer every call?

It answers the calls that reach it: the ones your phone forwards when nobody picks up or the line is busy. You keep answering the calls you pick up yourself. After hours, when nobody is answering, that means it takes those calls too.

Will it call my customers back?

No. If a caller wants a person, it takes their name, the number to call back and what it is about, saves it as a follow-up request and emails it to you. Someone on your team decides whether and when to call. The AI never calls your customers on its own.

What does a caller hear first?

The greeting you approved. Its first sentence says it is an AI assistant and that the call is recorded. It never uses a human name, and if someone asks whether they are talking to a robot or an AI, it says yes, every time.

What if something goes wrong?

Turn your forwarding off and your phone behaves exactly as it did before. We write the forwarding-off steps with you and test them on your phone before go-live, so you never need us to stop it.
